I thought that Alberta meant that camping could be down without a downpour, but there was rain the first night, going on into the morning.

What caused us to stop at the site of the next few photos? Cell phone coverage... but it made for some decent photos too.

Naturally once we left the campsite we escaped most of the clouds.

In Banff we were planning to go to Lake Louise, but at the last minute decided to head to Moraine Lake instead. You can't see the lake in this shot, but there were a number of interesting peaks around it.

I had forgotten to bring any lenses but a 50mm (due to the dimness of lighting earlier in the day). Unlike the last photo, a 50mm lens allowed me to include the water of the lake in this shot.

Suzanne watches a canoe on the lake.

Calvin wasn't excited about getting his photo taken so he decided to take revenge with some water.

The trees in the area were tall and scrawny.

There were a number of logs floating on the lake. This one was sitting half on shore with the other end lazily floating in the water.

Still some snow around here - although Calvin apparently had it snow on him during a nearby hike a few weeks prior.
