Sneaking out of the tunnel

This shot turned out better than I was expecting

That nearby patch of ground should give you a bit of an idea just how dark it was down on the bridge

In these lighting conditions my attempt to frame the shot pretty much failed.

An AC4400 comes out of the tunnel at Cisco

Not necessarily a bad shot but I prefer its predecessor

In person the contents of the cars added a nice touch, but it didn't transfer too well to film.

We stopped at Subway in Hope for a bit to eat (yes... Darren actually ate a sub) and then saw this train parked when we were continuing towards home. We had actually seen these locos earlier in the morning heading westbound, so they got flipped around fairly quickly.

I tried to shoot the mountain in the background, but got more locomotive than anything

Finally... a bit of success in capturing the mountain on film, although it didn't show up too clearly in the scan.

This guy was cruising! Hard then to get a clear shot given the lighting conditions

The crew returned to their train from the diner and started it moving again. It appears that the lead locomotive is now sprouting poles.
